Program
Every group organizes its program according to its own ideas and wishes. On the following pages we would like to give you some tips from the many different possible program options. If you need any help during the preparations please feel free to ask the Zellhof Team.
Mini Jamboree
The many different nationalities present in the summer offers an ideal opportunity to get to know Scouts from other countries,organize communal activities and make international friends.
Please leave some room in the program planning for communal activities, for example: Hikes, wide games, exploration, sporting events, singing contests, campfires etc.
Day of open pots
One of the highlights, which has now become a tradition, is the international meal. Every group cooks a bit more as usual and allows all the others to come and taste a bit of their national meal, after which everything ends with singing and games.
Pfadfinderdorf Zellhof is a place where international meetings are made easy. Collective international activities are frequently organized by interested groups. All group leaders are invited to a camp leaders meeting on Mondays at 9 p.m, where all initiatives for international activities can be discussed and prepared. The Wednesday evening has emerged as most prominent time for international activities. The Zellhof Team will help you with any needs you might have for this.
Program on site
Zellhof is an old estate, lying in a nature reserve directly by Grabensee lake. With its own access to the lake, football and volleyball areas, nearby woodland, and the village-like layout, there are many possibilities for program activities directly on site. You can hire out canoes, rowing boats and bicycles from us directly.

Swimming area
- The swimming area directly borders the camping field
- The Grabensee is one of the warmest bathing lakes in the Salzburg area,
- Swimming pier,
- Every group needs to have a swimming supervisor for its own members.
- Swimming daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Rowing boats can be hired.
Badges
Especially during the summer months many groups from different countries meet at Scouting village Zellhof. This badge is meant to help you to meet all the people at Zellhof and to get to know new friends.
Scouting Village Zellhof is in the middle of a nature
conservation area. Therefore Trash separation is compulsory.
If you want to understand how and why things run at Zellhof, you are
welcome to work for this badge.
Canoeing
- 3-man and 4-man canoes available, in total 33 places
- life jackets available (compulsory)
- reservation possible
- Lake Mattsee: own landing place in the centre of Mattsee (3 km to walk, cycle path, bus)
